WAYNE NEL

Wayne Nel was born in Welkom and moved to Gauteng in the early part of his schooling career. He matriculated from Krugersdorp High School in 1986.

Wayne went onto graduate with a 3-year Diploma in Marketing & Communications from WITS. From here his entrepreneurial spirit was born and made way for the beginning part of his soap career which started in 1993. Willow Soaps over the years has increased its offering to produce a broad base of cosmetic and toiletry soaps, servicing the majority of SA’s retailers, as well as producing personal care products for other contract manufacturing concerns.

Wayne’s numerous, endurance cycling races such as The Epic & Joberg2C, including many Berg & Bush & Sani2C races and multiple 94.7 rides is testament to his passion for the outdoors & keeping fit. This was the basis to start Activskin; the idea to produce a unique yet functional range of products which address preparing and protecting the skin for those long days in the sun, which invariably result in the skin being exposed to long term sun induced damage.
